Since 1983, ACOC has been internationally recognized for bringing musical excellence and theatrical intensity to a uniquely intimate art form. We've premiered twenty-eight works, championed the voices of American lyric music, and built a reputation critics and audiences alike call consistently compelling.
We're a not-for-profit company devoted to our singer/actors, giving them the direction, production values, and artistic freedom to make opera feel immediate and alive.
